TOLEDO STEPS UP TO CHALLENGE

The University of Toledo took time out of their competition schedule at this years Collegiate Cup National Duals to serve the less fortunate in the host city of Dalton, GA.

Coach Tom Kiefer and his Athletes found the real joy that comes with serving others.

HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT

Sometimes in a community like North Dallas it's easy to forget that hiding out among all the fancy Stores Homes and Cars are real people that are going through tough times. It's easier to see poverty or folks just down on their luck in big urban cities like Chicago, Detroit and even Dallas, but the suburbs often hide difficulties better than the big cities. Even if you really SEE the people, it can be hard to know what they are going through... Many people have learned how to HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT. Providing good stylish clothing can go a long way in helping a family regain dignity as they bridge time between jobs, or fight back from illness, or an unexpected death. We pray that the wrestlers that will call Allen home for 4 or 5 days will be able to bring something positive to the table as they compete for a national championship.

ACO is Rebuilding lives, one family at a time….

Like building blocks, rebuilding the lives of a family takes many blocks, each carefully laid to build a foundation. The loss of employment, a family illness and unpaid bills can all cause a family to break down and create a feeling of helplessness. Help obtaining the skills to rebuild lives is available at Allen Community Outreach.

As part of this years 6:12 project in Dalton we are asking the Involved Wrestling teams to take one afternoon and to go door to door in your community, Identifying yourself as Wrestlers for your college on a mission to provide coats for homeless in Dalton and food for the hungry. We are asking each team to enter into the project of collecting Coats and Canned Goods. Work together to bring as many coats as wrestlers to Dalton, and as many canned goods as fans. . If each team collected 12 coats and 50 cans of food we would supply the City of Refuge over 250 coats and 1,200 cans of Food. Will your team do it's part.... Help us Help them.

Many times we think of the homeless as single older men alone on the street

But all too often, in these difficult times, it's entire families or widows and children who need help.
NCWA Wrestlers can make a difference through fundraising. Giving back just 10% of what we raise to help those in need can bless your athletes and program more than you can imagine. Encouraging fellow athletes to give back. To be reach out & touch lives, carries an enormous intrinsic reward when done with a servants heart.

Please use your leadership, passion and wisdom to make a difference in someones life; now and for eternity.
